        <description>I'm currently a Post Doctoral Researcher in the Scientific Computing Institute at the University of Utah.  I did my Ph.D. work at Purdue University in the Computer Science Department and was a member of the Computer Graphics and Visualization Lab.  I defended my dissertation in July of 2010 and graduated in August of 2010.</description>

Images are a powerful and important means of communication in computer graphics and visualization, but they also serve as a quality approximation of complex 3-D scene geometry.
